Apple has finally confirmed that the new Iphone release date is going to be delayed by a few months. Luca Maestri, the Apple CFO, revealed the news at a quarterly conference, saying; “We are going to have a number of enhancements for iPhone before its launch.” He also revealed that Apple will be using the event to “re-engage” existing customers, as well as introduce new markets to the Iphone. The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco, California on the 15th of September.
Luca Maestri has said that the reason behind the delay in the Iphone release date is due to the introduction of the iPhone 5G. In the past Apple has released many versions of their phones, but they have always had problems with the hardware. However, the iPhone 5G is the first phone to be launched with a faster chip – the A7 chip. The new chip has been designed to allow the Iphone to connect with a number of applications such as internet and social networking websites. Apple has also implemented the M7 motion co-processor that will enable the phone to recognise what direction it is facing when holding the phone up to a wall.
The new A7 chip will replace the existing M7 that Apple used in their previous Iphone models. In addition to this, there is also a new camera that is capable of shooting high definition video. Luca Maestri has said that the iPhone 5G will be released at a lower price, which will then go on to sell better than their previous generation. Luca Maestri did not give any specific figures on the Iphone release date, but said that it would be within the next few months.
